The textbook is "Classical Mechanics", 3rd ed., by Goldstein, Poole and Safko, Addison Wesley.

Evaluation

The evaluation will depend upon several homework assignments, a mid-term and a final exam. The exams would be open book/notes and even with internet access. You just have to work by yourself.

Classes are on Mondays and Thursdays, 12.00 noon to 1.20 PM, in ARC 203. The first class is on Thursday, Sep. 7.

Mid-term Exam: Time and Place: Nov 9th, 2017, 12.00 noon-1.20 pm, usual classroom.
Make-up Class: Dec 11th, 2017, 3.45-5.00 pm, SEC 212.
Exam Prep: General: Take a look at some problems in the Goldstein book, if you feel like. I will send out a list.
